When I was four, a family friend took me up in his Cessna. I was hooked. Flying is all I have dreamed of since that day. My first solo was in a glider before I was 15, and I soloed in a Cessna 172 before I had my driver’s license. I enjoy the freedom of flying no matter what the aircraft, but my favorite is in a Super Cub on floats. There is something pure about getting out on a lake in the mountains away from it all and jumping in for a swim on a warm day. The unending experiences of flying keep me coming back day after day. I want to make your flying experience as fun as mine has been.
My second love is aircraft maintenance. As a certified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic, I can give you a deeper knowledge of the aircraft you are flying. This will add to your skill and confidence in flying and optimize your commitment to safety in the dynamic flying environment. You will be a more complete pilot and know your aircraft inside and out, not just the minimum to pass a check ride.
When I am not flying, I enjoy getting away for a hike or a camping trip, sometimes snowboarding on Mt. Hood, duck hunting with a friend, or riding the back roads on my motorcycle. Besides flying, there are plenty of outdoor activities to keep me busy here in the Pacific Northwest.

Also, if you need to complete a rating that you have started but have not finished, I can get you up to speed so you can be check-ride ready as quickly as possible.
